Hypnosis For Healthier Sleep

Orange and pink sunset reflected across calm water

When bedtime brings a busy mind instead of rest, it's hard to know what to try next. We'll focus on the thoughts, tension, and habits that may be keeping you from a more restful night.

We shape sessions around your experience, whether that's trouble settling down and going to sleep, motivation to use proper sleep hygeine, waking in the night, or worrying about sleep itself. Together, we'll work toward a calmer bedtime routine and practical skills you can use at home.
If you are coming from somewhere further away for this, like Grand Rapids, South Bend, or Lansing, then the consult for this would be appropriate to schedule over the phone.

Support for your sleep patterns

Trouble falling asleep, waking at night, and feeling unrested can have a variety of different causes. Our work focuses on the thoughts and routines that you want to change. Hypnosis is support and helps with the mental processes. Persistent insomnia, loud snoring, pauses in breathing, or significant daytime sleepiness need assessment by a healthcare professional.

What to expect from your sessions

We start with your sleep routines, the situations that keep your mind busy, and one change you'd like to notice. Sessions may include guided hypnosis, imagery, and self-hypnosis practice. We review what you notice between appointments and adjust together.

How should I prepare?

You can just bring yourself! If you want to prepare notes about your usual bedtime, wake time, and what happens before and during a difficult night, it can be helpful. Choosing a practical goal, like starting a quieter wind-down routine, can also be helpful. You don't need to force sleep or clear your mind before you come in, though. If you are unprepared, don't worry; I can help you figure this out.

How many sessions will I need?

No fixed number fits everyone. The consultation helps me prepare a plan and quote based on your goals and your particular needs. We'll review progress together and often schedule phone follow-ups instead of assuming further sessions are required. Results vary; hypnosis doesn't guarantee a particular amount of sleep or replace care for a sleep disorder.

Where are appointments held?

Hypnosis appointments are in person at 4000 Portage Street, Suite 106, Kalamazoo. Allow at least two hours for sessions. The free 30-minute consultation can be done by phone or in person.
