Hypnosis for Relaxation

A quiet room doesn't always mean a quiet mind. You might end the day still replaying conversations, noticing tension, or feeling you should be doing one more thing. Relaxation sessions give us time to explore what helps you pause and settle your attention.

Goals we can discuss

Your goal might be an easier transition after work, a short pause before a demanding conversation, or a familiar image to return to when the day feels crowded. You don't need to empty your mind or reach a special feeling for this to be useful.

How sessions can fit your goals

I'll explain each exercise and ask for your feedback. Sessions may include guided attention, comfortable breathing, imagery, or self-hypnosis practice, at a pace and in language that suit you. If focusing on your breath or an image feels unpleasant, tell me. We can switch to a different focus or pause.

Questions before you book

Do I need to be good at relaxing first?

No. A busy mind, trouble picturing images, or feeling alert are all things we can talk about. The approach is shaped around what you actually notice.

Can I use the ideas outside a session?

We can choose a brief practice for you to try between appointments. Keep it comfortable, and let me know what helps or doesn't so we can adjust.

Is relaxation a treatment for anxiety or insomnia?

No. This is complementary support for personal goals. Persistent anxiety, sleep problems, or other symptoms need appropriate professional care, and relaxation practice doesn't replace it.

Plan your visit

Hypnosis appointments are in person at 4000 Portage Street, Suite 106, Kalamazoo, MI 49001. Allow at least two hours. Your free 30-minute consultation can be by phone or in person. We'll use the consultation to understand your goals so I can prepare a proposed plan and quote. A phone consultation is an easy way to learn about the process first.
